This outdoor shower is built on Vancouver Island Postech screw piles. The uneven nature of the ground and its poor quality made a concrete foundation nearly impossible to build. How ever with the quick install screw piles the shower was immediately ready to build!
Use Postech screw piles for your next deck project or save an already installed deck! No digging, no footing, no concrete and quick to install screw piles will simplify your next project.
Six screw piles installed among the trees in Metchosin for a future sauna and deck. Our small 39 inch wide excavator is unobtrusive and is ideal to install screw pile foundations in places concrete won’t work.
We would like to welcome the newest member of the Vancouver Island Postech team! A 9,000lb Bobcat E35 excavator combined with new auger drivers with 12,000lb and 8,000lbs of torque. This combination has highly effective results such as the ability to drive a 7ft long pile with a 14inch helix into the ground in two minutes. With a rig […]
We installed twelve screw piles in a midden to extend Paul’s house. Each individual pile has a weight bearing capacity of over 15,000lbs. All twelve piles were installed and immediately ready to build on in just three hours. If Paul were to use a traditional concrete foundation the prep work alone would take days to complete. We saved […]
Installing piles to a depth of approximately 50ft through a Suspended Concrete Floor that is 3 feet above the crawlspace. 8 inch holes were cut through the existing floor to preserve the existing floor and the piles and extensions were installed through the floor. These new piles will have a concrete pad poured on them […]
Tents and Yurts on Postech Screw Piles in Pacific Rim National Park near Tofino. Biome-Canada installs tents and yurts across Canada in our National Parks for public use. Check out www.biome-canada.ca
Concrete foundation did not have a footing and a large crack developed to the left of the crawlspace door. Our engineer developed a design where 2 screw piles were installed so the tops were approximately 1ft below the existing concrete. A Postech 8 x 8inch steel cap will sit on top of the piles and […]
Carbide bit was used to pre drill holes through asphalt to install screw piles for a deck. Holes 10 inches in diameter were drilled so there was a clean round hole for the screw pile to be installed. This did not cause any damage to the surrounding surface or require any digging.
Screw piles were installed to carry the centre beam for a 20 for wide deck. No digging was required and once the final heights are calculated the piles will be cut to level and Postech adjustable height beam saddles will be bolted to the top of the pile.
